Symposium Submission
- Submissions open from: September 16th, 2024.
- Deadline: December 31st, 2024 extended to January 19th, 2025.
General information: The time allocated to each symposium is 2 hours (including Q&A). Each symposium should include 4-6 speakers on a single and well-defined topic, with all participants addressing the same thematic area.
The symposium may have one or two organisers responsible for recruiting speakers and gathering the abstracts. One person should serve as the main organiser, who is the sole submitter and contact point for their symposium. At the time of submitting a proposal, all participating speakers must have agreed to participate and attend the symposium.
Title of the Symposium and Title of each talk: There is no maximum length for titles; however, keep titles focused and include key terms.
Authors list and affiliation: First and Last names, affiliations (organisation) and country of all participants should be provided by filling out the author and co-author fields in the submission form. The organiser of the symposium should be specified by being added in the Presenter field of the form. If there are two co-organisers, one should handle the submission and be listed as an author, while the other should be designated in the Presenter field to ensure that both are recognised as organisers.
Abstract: Maximum 6500 characters (approximately 1000 words). The word limit does not include the symposium title or author details, as these are entered in separate fields of the submission form.
However, the titles of the individual talks may be included in the abstract and will count towards the word limit.
The abstract must be written in English and present a concise and full description of the works being presented and how they are articulated. Limit the use of abbreviations to the cases when: (a) it is conventional and readers are likely to be more familiar with the abbreviation than with the complete form and (b) considerable space can be saved and cumbersome repetition avoided (as in APA guidelines). Further, not commonly used abbreviations (of compounds, for example) must be spelled out in full at the first use.
Topic: You will be asked to choose an appropriate topic area for your symposium, which will be used solely for session planning and the assignment of Reviewers. Please select from the list below the topic that best fits the most important aspects of your presented work:
