Arriving to Porto
By Airplane
There are direct flights to Porto (OPO - Francisco Sá Carneiro Airport) from many cities worldwide.
The venue is a 30-minute ride away. The subway, called 'Metro' here, is also a good choice; from the Airport metro station you can take any train and drop off at 'Casa da Música' station, then it’s a 20-minute walk downhill to the venue. Bus 601 Cordoaria (via Mar Shopping) runs from the Airport to Palácio do Cristal, close to the venue.
You may also fly to Lisbon (LIS - Humberto Delgado Airport). Rent-a-car offices are readily available at Lisbon Airport. If you prefer a more sustainable alternative to get to Porto, the bus or train is the perfect choice. See below for more information.
By Bus/Train
You can travel to Porto by bus or train (Porto Campanhã or Porto São Bento) from almost any major city in Portugal and north of Spain.
If you’re in Lisbon, trains run all day from Santa Apolónia (Lisbon city centre) or Gare do Oriente (Lisbon - Parque das Nações) to Porto main train station, Campanhã. Bus is also a good choice, and you will find multiple affordable options departing from Gare do Oriente to Porto.

Insider’s tip: if you book your train ride to Porto São Bento, you’ll have the opportunity to enter the city through its charming early 20th-century station, and marvel at its floor-to-ceiling tile-covered walls.
